NEW Hotel Bloom ***

Formerly the Royal Crown Hotel, Hotel Bloom is undergoing a complete and unique restoration, placing more than 4400 square feet of wall space at the disposal of young artists coming from 31 countries. The total revamp includes replacing the classic interior with a new contemporary layout. The first batch of 174 rooms, former lobby and reception area, have already been transformed into light, modern spaces that are functional, attractive and comfortable. Beginning in September the hotel will have 12 meeting rooms over 2 floors linked by an open staircase. The refurbishment of Hotel Bloom can be seen as the birth of a new hotel in the heart of Brussels, close to the flourishing natural beauty of the Botanical Gardens, and also symbolized by the creation of works of art by the young artists given the chance to display their talents in this way. Since August the hotel counts 57 rooms completed with a mural painting. Another 10 rooms will be realized by the end of September. Following the planning all rooms will have a fresco by the end of 2008.

Wyndham Hotels Announce First Property in Belgium

Wyndham Hotel Group International today announced the opening of the first Ramada hotel in Belgium, the 210-room Ramada Plaza Antwerp.

The hotel is located in the heart of the business district, directly opposite De Singel cultural center and within walking distance of Antwerp Expo. Nearby is Antwerp’s famous medieval city center and the fashionable Zuid district, known for its many bars and restaurants.

After years of being closed for renovations, the Brussels Congress Center is reopening in 2009 with a new name & logo - Square, Brussels Meeting Center. Cooking Meets Art: Museum Cafe & Museum Brasserie

The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Brussels is the most visited museum group in Belgium and is comprised of the Museum of Ancient Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Wiertz Museum and the Meunier Museum. Together, they contain some twenty thousand paintings, sculptures and drawings.
