ZYTHOS BEER FESTIVAL: This great beer festival takes place in Sint Niklaas in eastern Flanders on Saturday March 1st, 2008 from noon - midnight and Sunday March 4th, 2007 from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm. There are approximately 150 beers from the 48 breweries represented, and there is no entry fee. The 15cl sample glass costs 1 € regardless of the strength or the rarity of the beer. Cheers! YEAR OF FOLON : In 2008 visitors can experience a unique cultural journey as several major exhibitions throughout Belgium will display the art of Jean Michel Folon. Best known for his cover page drawings for The New Yorker and Time Magazine, Folon’s work encompasses watercolors, screen prints, wood sculptures, plaster & bronze, stained glass, posters and stamps. EUROSTAR: Eurostar has set another record for train travel - All Aboard! Train travel to Brussels took a new turn on November 14, 2007 when Eurostar launched passenger services from St. Pancras International Terminal in London, cutting journey time between London and Brussels from 2 hours & 45 minutes down to one hour, 51 minutes.

ANIMA FESTIVAL: An animated international film festival in the land of comic strip heroes is being held from 1 February until 9 February, 2008 at the newly renovated Flagey building, which is the former Belgian Radio & TV Broadcasting Center, and a fine example of Art Deco 'ocean liner' style of the 1930s.
