PAUL KLEE, Theatre here, there and everywhere
Brussels,
Centre for Fine Arts - Bozar
Through May 25, 2008 (prolonged)
In a series of monographic exhibitions of the work of twentieth-century master painters, the Centre for Fine Arts takes an unusual approach to the oeuvre of Paul Klee.
The artist’s theatrical universe is a hotbed of intellectual freedom, poetry, imagination and irony. A musician by training, music was a constant source of inspiration for him. For the Bauhaus he carried out a study into the special relationship between music and visual art. With the cooperation of composer and conductor Pierre Boulez, the exhibition will highlight Klee's pioneering role.
The works on show derive from the Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern and other museums and private collections.
The exhibition is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays. The entrance fee is € 9.00. For more information visit BOZAR.
