Brussels Jazz Marathon (May 24-26, 2013)

Brussels Jazz Marathon Rockin'Round the Clock

May 24-26, 2013

For more than a decade the Brussels Jazz Marathon draws visitors from all over Europe and as far away as Japan! For one weekend each year, the capital of Europe swings as it is transformed into one huge jazz party. Visitors can experience over 125 concerts, many of which are completely free to the public, and 450 musicians performing on the main squares in Brussels (Grand Place, place du Sablon, place Ste-Catherine & place Fernand Cocq) as well as in 50 venues/clubs/hotels. Big bands and famous soloists play in open air, smaller bands play in bars and taverns, and you can see them all by using the special buses that criss-cross the city.

Brussels' reputation of exceptional high quality jazz is undeniable. As such, the Jazz Marathon attracts a wide aray of performers, from renowned international artists to a new generation of exceptional young talents waiting to be discovered. Past performers have included artists like the Jean-Luc Pappi Quartet, De Braave Joenges and Alegria Group, to name just a few. A complete list of last year's performers can be viewed online.
