Museum of Letters and Manuscripts in Brussels

Brussels Welcomes the Museums of Letters and Manuscripts

to the History Saint-Hubert Galleries

The Museum of Letters and Manuscripts, once in Paris, is now located in the Saint-Hubert Galleries, just steps away from the Grand Place in the heart of Brussels. This museum is the result of the wishes of evolution and expansion of Aristophil.

Since September 23, 2011, the museum moved to its new location in the magnificent Saint-Hubert Galleries, situated in a place highly frequented by tourists and the people of Brussels. The museum's objective is to give visitors the opportunity to discover the collections of Aristophil as well as to increase the visibility of the company. Its ideal location allows it to reach a broader audience.

The first Museum of Letters and Manuscripts was founded on 18th June 2004  by Gérard Lhéritier. Originally housed in a magnificent 600m² property in the heart of the St. Germain district of Paris, in an old 17th century building, the Museum of Letters and Manuscripts presents genuine treasures: letters written and signed by figures who influenced the course of history. A King of France, an Emperor, a cardinal, a writer, a genius, a painter, a musician, a general, a president, so many famous figures whose secrets are waiting to be discovered. Identical limited-edition reproduction of the ship’s log for the Northumberland, the English ship that transported Napoleon to Saint Helena from 7th August to 17th November 1815.
