Belgian Restaurant Week in New York City

"A Taste of Belgium" will put the spotlight on delightful cuisine and great brews during a weeklong celebration of Belgian gastronomy and Belgian culinary innovation. Belgian Restaurant Week will run from March 23rd through March 30th. Specials will be offered throughout the week from B.Cafe, BXL Cafe, La Petit Abeille, Le Pain Quotidien, Markt, Wafels & Dinges and Rouge Tomate.

Victor Horta, Art Nouveau Master, Turns 150

In 2011, Victor Horta would have turned 150 years old. This year is the perfect opportunity to celebrate this genius of this Art Nouveau genius by turning the spotlight on his works throughout Brussels. Get Jazzed in Brussels for a Weekend

For more than a decade, the Brussels Jazz Marathon makes the capital of Europe swing for one weekend, with more than 450 musicians performing on the main squares in Brussels (Grand Place, place du Sablon, place Ste-Catherine & place Fernand Cocq) as well as in 50 venues/clubs/hotels. Most performances are free to the public.

Witness History Repeat Itself at the Ommegang Pageant

Each year the colorful Ommegang Pageant commemorates a celebration held in honor of Emperor Charles V visit to Brussels in the 16th century. Pageant participants, dressed in traditional period costumes, begin on the Grand Sablon and proceed to the Grand Place. Be sure to purchase tickets in advance if you want to watch the festivities!
