Christmas Markets
Every winter, the heart of Brussels tranforms into a "Winter Wonderland", featuring a magical Christmas market, illuminated Big Wheel, street activities and a skating rink. The Europe’s most original Christmas market features approximately 240 wooden chalets around the Bourse (Stock Exchange), Place Sainte Catherine and the Marché aux Poissons (fish market), bursting with Christmas ornaments, handicraft items and other seasonal gastronomic trests. Another popular attraction, the 200 foot-long skating rink lies at the end of the walk-route, in Marché aux Poissons square. Choirs, processions, troupes of wandering artists, bands and concerts complete the holiday ambiance.

From November 30, 2012 to January 6, 2013 The Grand Place is a stunning site worth visiting this time of year, with its nightly light show. The Place Saint-Catherine is transformed into a Winter Wonderland with 240 Christmas Chalets lining the square. Ferry wheel, choirs, artists, concerts and ice-skating rink complete the holiday ambiance. |

From November 30 to December 30, 2012 The beautiful square is the site for a magical Christmas Village . Just one hour by train from Brussels, the city of Liege hosts the largest and the oldest Christmas market in Belgium, attracting around 1.5 million visitors. Browse the beautiful chalets tempting of goodies, sweets, original craft products and local specialties like Liege waffle, Galler chocolate and Peket ( Belgian version of gin).
