Belgian chocolate has been a lure for lovers, the indulgence of kings and today, everyone's favorite sweet. Over 172,000 tons of chocolate is produced per year with more than 2,000 chocolate shops throughout Belgium, a country the size of Maryland. After witnessing the passion that goes into the creation of these sweet treats, it's no wonder chocolate has become an international symbol of love. You can travel the four corners of the earth, but you have not truly lived until you have your first bite of Belgian chocolate.

La Maison des Maîtres Chocolatiers Belges (Brussels)

This house is the showcase of 10 artisans of excellence who work Belgian chocolate in the purest of traditions. You can taste or purchase their creations, enjoy a creamy hot chocolate, participate to a discovery workshop or a training.

Planète Chocolat (Brussels)

Planete Chocolat develops ideas in order to offer the highest quality of chocolate. Their products are made with 100% cocoa butter and are OGM-free. A passionate team keeps creating new shapes and combining chocolate with new flavors. Planete Chocolat shares its knowledge around chocolate. Chocolate demonstrations are organized every Saturday and Sunday at 4PM for individuals. Chocolate demonstrations consist in an explanation of the History and the origins of chocolate as well as the fabrication of pralines and caraques with a humoristic touch and in a convivial atmosphere. While the participants attend the demonstration, they can see our chocolate makers working through the windows of our live workshop. The demonstration is followed with a degustation of homemade pralines and hot chocolate. Demonstrations, workshop and city guided tours for groups can also be organized under reservation. Our atelier is located at Rue du Lombard 24 in Brussels, just between the Grand'Place and the Manneken-Pis. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need further information.

Zaabär (Brussels)

Zaabär offers hands on workshops for groups and visitors of all ages to experience and create their own delicious chocolate treats.  With classes offered in 12 different languages, tourists of all backgrounds can learn Zaabär's secrets to one-of-a-kind desserts, with surprising ingredients like spices, cereals, fruits, truffles and more. Workshops are available for individual groups (families, birthdays), tour operators, associations (business, schools, etc.) and classes are open to the public every Saturday from 2.30 to 3.30 pm.

Factory tours with tastings are offered Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm, Saturday from 11am to 8pm

Chocolate Festival - Durbuy

White, milk and dark chocolate will make you discover specialities like chocolate flavoured strawberries, pralines, Easter subjects... Giant Easterbunnies let you taste this delicious chocolate delicacies.
