OPENING OF " SQUARE" ON SEPTEMBER 20,2009  :  Once known as the Congress Center of Brussels," Square", a completely renovated venue next to the Grand Place on Mont des Arts, in the center of Brussels, will offer 108,000 square feet of polyvalent rooms, including 3 auditoria, 2 conference rooms, 20 high-tech meeting rooms, a modular hall of 43,000 square feet and an exclusive top-floor event room; a venue suitable for every type of meeting, whether it be an international conference gala dinner or product presentation! SQUARE, originally constructed for the 1959 world's fair was remodeled using state of the art technology for the 21st century.

OPENING OF THE MAGRITTE MUSEUM ON JUNE 2ND,2009: Magritte, the 20th century's most celebrated Belgian surrealist painter will have his own museum in Brussels. Located on the Place Royale, walking distance from the Grand’ Place, the Musical Instrument Museum and the Royal Palace, the museum will hold 200 works, the largest collection of Magritte paintings, plus archival material, letters written by the painter, photographs and drawings. It was imperative for Belgium to recognize Magritte, as one of their own, a celebrity in the art world, with the Magritte museum opening in, of course, the most important Belgian city, Brussels.
